As I am writing this email St Joe/Arvida has introduced Senate Bill 1906, page 86, section K, to exempt all future marinas west of the Ochlockonee River from the DRI process. As I understand it, if this bill passes it will eliminate the requirement for a State review for new marinas and only require a zoning change.

It has apparently already passed in the House and is now going for a vote in the Senate this afternoon.

You are urged to call Senator Al Lawson's office, 487-5004, as soon as possible and urge him to have section K removed from Senate Bill 1906.
