Hi Everyone!
We just got home from the County Commissioners meeting and wanted to let you know how it went before I crash!
We won the battle.....or should I say, "This battle"! The county commissioners unanimously decided to send the proposed project back to the Franklin County Planning and Building Dept. to obtain the required documents from the developer and the required input from the various state agencies. This would not have been possible if we hadn't all worked together. All the letters, faxes, phone calls and attending the meetings paid off. Alligator Pointers again came together to protect this little spit of land that we all cherish so much. Congratulations and Thanks to all!
But, the war is not over......if anything, it is just beginning. We will have to stay focused, and not get side tracked by our discontent and frustration with the system or those that are running the system. It is very important to keep our eye on the ball. There will be a lot of work ahead......more research, letters, phone calls, faxes, and attending of meetings.....but for now, we can take a short break, catch our breath and get ready for the next round.
In the mean time, it is another gorgeous, sunny, cool day in Paradise....which we all know as "The Point"!!
