On Tuesday Oct. 9 the Planning and Zoning Board allowed the developer of the Proposed Hidden Harbor Development to make their presentation even though they were aware that the developer and the County Planner had not met the requirements necessary to make a presentation, as stated in the Franklin County Zoning Code manual. This was pointed out to the Planning and Zoning Board and the County Planner acknowledged that the legal process had not been followed. They allowed the presentation to go forward anyway and they then approved it to go to the County Commission for further review.

We plan to make a firm request at the County Commission meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 16 for the legal process to be followed and for the project to be sent back to the county Planning and Zoning Board and for it to be reviewed by them appropriately. We are prepared to take legal action if they do not comply.

It is VERY important that the County Commissioners and Alan Pierce get the message before the meeting on Tuesday that we are not satisfied with this violation of the process.

PLEASE call all of the County commissioners and the County Planner, Alan Pierce, and tell them that you want the Hidden Harbor PUD proposal sent back to the Planning and Zoning Board and to be processed in accordance with the Franklin County Comprehensive Planning and the Zoning Code Manual.
