On Monday, February 4, 2002, the APTA and APECO joint committee members met with the developer's representative, Deb Holton, at the office of our attorney, to verify the correction of the lot width calculations for 11 of the thirty proposed lots and to finalize the wording of the development restrictions to be included in the revised initial development application.  Ms Holton satisfactorily met the requirements of the zoning code's lot width calculations by reducing the total number of lots from 30 to 29.  The
finalized wording of the development restrictions to be included in the revised initial development application were agreed upon as follows.

1-Single-family docks and bulkheads are prohibited
2-Community docks are prohibited with the exception of a single observations deck and canoe launch associated with the boardwalk intended to ultimately connect the peninsula platted as part of this ordinance with the property owned by the developer to the south of the peninsula
3-Pervious materials (those which permit water to flow through and be absorbed into the ground) shall be used for driveways, walkways, and other surfaces to the maximum extent possible.  The impervious surface on individual residential lots shall be limited to a maximum of six (6) percent of the lot (rather than the twenty (20) percent provided under the zoning code).
4-The county may enforce this ordinance by any and all of its lawful powers

On Tuesday, February 5, 2002, the Franklin County Board of County Commissioners approved a motion to forward the revised initial development application for public hearing on Tuesday, February 19th.

Assuming there are no significant objections posed at the public hearing, the Franklin County Board of County Commissioners will approve the development application at the end of the public hearing.

Both APTA and APECO plan to monitor the development through the construction process and through the application by the developer for approval of the final development application which permits the developer to begin selling lots.
