Based upon information provided to me today by Bonnie Jean Allen, the Bald Point State Park ranger, the total acreage being sold to the State for the expansion of Bald Point State Park now appears to be approximately 2,600 acres rather than the 8,500 acres I reported in the [previous] email. According to Bonnie, there will be some type of celebration on/about November 7 to officially commemorate the sale.

I'll provide you with the final acreage figure and celebration information after all the dust settles, the sale is finalized, and is officially announced
